The cold war between the Chairman of All Progressive Congress APC, in Orlu Local Government Area and the member, representing Orlu State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Ikenna Ihezuo, seems to have taken a dangerous dimension, as the former has alleged that the Orlu lawmaker attempted to divert 65 bags of rice out of the quota given to Orlu people as palliative before he and the current Sole Administrator of Orlu LGA, Hon Isaiah Ezeogu, popularly called โIgweokuโ stopped him.
Throwing more light on the issue, Ochinanwata, as fondly called said, I want everybody on this platform to ask the Sole Administrator of Orlu Local Government Area, Igwe Oku, what happened between him and Ihezuo when they shared rice, adding that Ihezuo requested to be given 5 bags from the portion of each of the wards, totaling 65 bags but โIgweokuโ and I refused vehemently. At this point, Ihezuo questioned the position of the Monitor in the issue, leading to a hot exchange of words between him and Igwe Oku, who was there to monitor the sharing and ensure that it was transparent.
The party Chairman, who maintained that he was instrumental to the emergence of Ihezuo as his partyโs candidate for Orlu State Constituency, expressed disappointment that the lawmaker has performed poorly and below expectation.
He also averred that Ihezuoโs defence that he, refused to allow him take the rice, and is being critical of his performance because he (Ihezuo) refused to buy him a new car is not only false but baseless. He noted that โright from the day he told Ihezuo the truth at Star Arrival Hotel, about the need for him to give Orsu Clan of Orlu LGA people their share of the election funds, which he embezzled, and also cautioned him against insulting our apex leader, Hon Canice Moore Nwachukwu (Omeogo), Ihezuo has been blackmailing him.
Ochinanwata, further stated that Ihezuo lost election in his community because of his bad conduct and attitude. โYesterday, you contested for the position of President General of Eziachi and lost because of your bad character I decided to save your face, but now, you are elevated, โNo wahalaโ.
The lawmaker, in his reaction, to the allegation, said, โOchinanwata, I have been advised to ignore you. However, I want to let you know that I am not your equal. I built my first house when you were still in the secondary school. I am more educated than you, more elevated than you and at the same time, older than you.
โSo, continue telling your lies to your mates and cronies. If a Chrisler car that is worth over #5m is not appreciated, you can return it. I will post the video of how excited you were while receiving the car for the public to see and know the kind of person you areโ.
Political pundits who commented on the development, said the last may not have been heard about what they described as โthe clash of the titansโ.
