A proposed renovation of a family house in Amankuta Mbieri Community in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State has kicked up fracas in the family.
Our correspondent who visited the scene gathered that the feud boiled over on May 29 when the elderest of the three siblings invited the police who arrested labourers hired to carry out the renovation.
The elderest sibling, who is also a clergyman reported the case of malicious damage to the family house and threat to his life, leading to the arrest of the labourers believed to have been hired by the immediate younger brother Ugochukwu Ike.
The visibly-livid clergyman is said to be furious that he was not informed of the commencement date of the project after agreement to renovate the house had been reached.
A source added that on returning home on Wednesday, May 29 to behold labourers demolishing the family, he quickly alerted the police at Achi-Mbieri.
