A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Hon. Paul Ezeobi has lost his mother, Lady Sophia Ogonna Ezeobi, to the cold hand of death.
Hon. Ezeobi, a grassroots politician and prominent figure within APC in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, announced this in a statement obtained by this reporter over the weekend.
According to him, deceased,. popularly known as Lolo Ezidika passed on at the age of 68 after a brief illness.
Hon. Ezeobi, who could not hide his feelings for the loss, further solicited the prayers of the public to endure and overcome this trying time, while also wishing his mother’s soul peaceful rest in the Lord.
It would be recalled that Hon. Ezeobi, who is a former House of Assembly candidate in Anambra State and Vice President of a charity-based organization — Friends of the Poor — has carried out many philanthropic and empowerment programs in honour of his beloved mother when she was alive, and through which many lives have been positively affected and many hope restored.
According to him, the family will announce the burial arrangements at the right time.
