Recognize journalists as watch dog of society, Uzozie tells govt functionaries

The National Leader of  Igbo bu Igbo and Financier of Field Marshall Foundation, High Chief Henry Uzozie, has urged Government functionaries in the country  to recognize Journalists in the country, particularly in Delta State  in terms of enhanced welfare package, as watchdog of the society.
 Uzozie who made the call while receiving an award of excellence at the media merit excellence award organized by the management of Nigeria Radar Magazine held at the Labour House Asaba the Delta State capital, noted that Journalists i should be given adequate care because without them activities, policies and Programmed  of Government would not be seen or heard by the people.
According to him, Journalists in Delta State have supported the Government in all itd ramifications to ensure that peace is sustained in the State, adding: “this is the first time Journalists in Delta State are coming together to celebrate themselve”.
 He further tated that he has been opportuned to witness the activities of Journalists in Abuja and Port Harcourt, even as he urged Journalists in the state to remain committed to their duties.
Highpoint of the event was the presentation of award of excellence to him  by the Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Commissio, FRSC,  Delta State command, CC Udeme Bassey Eshiet..
