The Amalgamation of Bauchi State Concerned Group has denbuked the claimed by a Southern Senator,

Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (Senate Majority Leader), representing B Central over his alleged that there was a Northern plot to sabotage and remove Akpabio for no reason cher than that he is from the South This shows that Senator Bamidele is a poor student of history.
Accordingly, the group asked the senate president Godswill Akpabio to step aside and allow for full investigation into the alleged n3.7 trillion in the 2024 budget of Nigeria.

Speaking while addressing the journalists at the press center of NUJ Secretariat Tuesday in Bauchi, The leader of the Amalgamation group, Alhaji Umar Sa’idu Maigamau said the group deemed it fit to address the media over the unlawful suspension of Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi by the Senate president during its plenary season held on 19th March 2024.

According to the group, Senator Ningi has not in any way infringed on the right of anyone, the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria neither the Senate laws, but only trying and seeking for a clarification over sum amount of N3. 7 trillion where could not be traced to any projects or locations in the 2024 budget.

“we wish to draw the attention of all Nigerians, on the diversionary antics by the leadership of the Senate to cover up the mesa by turning the issue into North and South dichotomy Specifically, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (Senate Majority Leader), representing B Central stood up on the floor of the Nigerian Senate to proclaim that he was addressing the same Senate as Southern Senator alleging that there was a Northern plot to sabotage and remove Akpabio for no reason cher than that he is from the South This shows that Senator Bamidele is a poor student of history.

“before the present Senate president Akpabio several Senate Presidents of southern extraction have been fully supported by Northerners. “history revealed that since independence, the North has been supporting the emergence of Senate Presidents from the South follows. Maigamau said the group has expressed its unreserved dismay over the action by the Senate President Akpabio, “in a rare display of Injustice, disdain for the rule of law end democratic tenets at the plenary held on 12 March, 2024 announced the suspension of Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi for 3 months following a motion moved by Senator Solomon Glamiletan Adense representing Ogun West, who alleged that his privilege as a sermitor of the Federal Republic of Nigeria had been breached by the assertion of Sene Abdul Ningi conceming the 2024 budget instead of giving Senator Sibiul Ningi fair hearing or in the allermative order for forensic analysis of the eritire budget, the Senate went ahead to execute its premeditated action.

“We view this action of the Senate as an attempt not omy to conceal the trut but to prevent the senator from exercising his legislative duties and constitutional right. Thereby demanding for urgent intervention on the matter;” 1.That the Senate President should immediately step aside and allow investigation of the allegations in line with the rules of the Senate. 2. The Senate should immediately withdraw the illegal and undemocratic suspension of Senator Ningi and tender an unreserved apology to the senator and to the good people of Bauchi Central Senatorial District whom he ably represents. 3. Order for an investigation into the allegation of 500 million naire given to some selected ranking senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 4. That the 2024 budget be reviewed and all anomalies therein be corrected with immediate effect.

Recall that Abdul Ningi was been suspended from the senate activities for three months over alleged Padding in the 2024 budget.
