Two police officers have been reportedly killed during an attack on the convoy of the Abia State Commissioner For Trade, Commerce, Investment and Industry, Dr Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu.
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon around 3: pm at Samec Junction along Faulks Road by Ariaria Market, in Aba, the commercial nerve of Abia State.
According to a source who spoke to our correspondent in Owerri, Chimezie’s escape required the driver’s courage.
The source stated,” the Abia State Commissioner for Trade, Commerce, Investment, and Industry was the main target, but his driver was clever enough to outdrive them because they were trying to block him.
“Because their primary target had gotten away, they shot the two police officers in his backup car after blocking it. “
