The price of popularly petroleum known as Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) has raised up from old price of N530 to N650 today in the state capital.
Our correspondent who go round to some filling station within the metropolis reports that most of the filling stations were seeing lucked and few one’s opened sell the commodity at N630 to N650 per liter depending on the filling station.
However, further investigation find out that some filling stations sold the fuel at N540 in the morning before closing the station and later opened to increased the price to N640.
Interview with some of the motorists, trycle (Keke) and Okada riders over the development expressed anger over the new price, saying the situation is becoming uncontrolled by the present Administration.
Mukthar Ali a commercial motor operator said the situation is becoming very difficult to them, because they’re even managing with old price and now just of sudden the pump price has gone up, now how is the government want us to do to feed our children at home.
He appealed to the government to find lasting solutions to lingering issue of fuel increased to avert any protest from the people.
Corroborating, a Trycle Keke and Okada rider, Danjuma Musa and Mato Adamu said the new pump price would likely forced them to return their machines to the owners, because even with old price they were battling to get balance on daily basis.
They appealed to the government to do something quickly or face a revolt from the people expecially the youth who were most affected by the fuel increased on their businesses.
