Imo To Begin Exportation Of Timber Products – Special Adviser, Ordu

Governor Uzodinma’s Special Adviser on Rubber Estates, Chidi Ordu has revealed the Government readiness to begin exportation of timber products.

Uzodinma’s Adviser who noted that structures have been put in order and works are ongoing across the three rubber estates situated in different parts of the State.

Honourable Ordu revealed this to newsmen In Owerri, on the inauguration ceremony of Governor Hope Uzodinma’s Special Adviser held on Monday, 17 July, 2023 at Imo State Government House In Owerri.

He stated that Uzodinma’s administration have revived Imo rubber estates located in Obuti in Ohaji Egbema Local Government Council Area, Emeabiam in Owerri West and Ngorkpualar.

According to him “very soon Imo will start exporting timbers. Works are ongoing and we are giving orientation to our workers.

“We have three rubber estates in the state, we are working together with the host communities to improve on productivity.”
