The Coalition of Northeast APC Youths for Change has on Wednesday expresses their support to the former governor of Borno State Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as the national chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
The APC Northeast youths said that the party needs a strong, dynamic, decisive, competent and visionary leader that can halt the current drift of the affairs of the party to winning ways.
The Convener of the Coalition, Abdullahi M Kokari who stated this while addressing a press conference in Bauchi, said that the coalition of APC Youths in the North-East region, deemed it fit to call the attention of the sons and daughters of the region on the need to support senator Ali Modu Sherrif as the next National Chairman of the party.
“We feel honoured to tell the world, particularly APC National delegates on the importance of putting aside their differences to ensure that Senator Sheriff is supported, being the most qualified among the contestants”
“We are confident as a group that our common stand will open new pages in the journey of restoring the principles of good governance and community participatory democracy into the ruling party which depends on the decision of our stakeholders and National delegates, thereby making the ruling APC viable and politically strong if Senator Ali Sheriff is elected National Chairman”
” It is our belief that our great party can be made better, hence our stand today will send a signal to our stakeholders to see reasons why Senator Ali Sheriff remains the only viable candidate among his contemporaries.We want APC to develop, prosper and become the pride of our nation’s democracy, though this depends on our choices in the next coming APC National convention”
“As youths and card-carrying members of the ruling APC who laboured for this party since it’s formation in 2014, we must agree that we are the answer because we have shown commitment and passion towards ensuring we get what belongs to us by taking action and getting involved
