Bauchi Emirate condemns attacks on Emir of Bauchi, Dass

Bauchi Emirate Council has condemned the recent attacked on the emirs of Bauchi Alhaji
Rilwanu suleimanu Adamu and the Emir of Dass Alhaji Usman Biliyaminu Usman on their way to attend late Baba Gonto 21st memorial anniversary in Tafawa Balewa.

The Emirate expressed their position today at the end of the council meeting of the Emirate in Bauchi

Reading the communique reached at the end of meeting the Galadiman Bauchi , Surveyor Sa’idu Ibrahim Jahun said “it’s unfortunate at this modern Era where peace is fragile in the state, and indeed the nation , in patriotic miscreants who don’t wish the state well come out to disturb the peace and tranquility we have been enjoying in the state,by attacking the emirs of Bauchi and Dass on their way to Bogoroto honour the invitation of late Baba Gonto anniversary “

The communique which was signed by Alhaji Bala Abubakar Attahiru Ajiyan Bauchi senior councilor and Alhaji Shehu Mudi Mohammed Secretary said ” several attempts were by the miscreants on the convoys where cars were smashed including the spare car of the Emir of Dass and Bauchi which forced the emirs to turn back to avoid loss of lives and properties “

The Emirate described the incident as barbaric, provocative,misleading and urged the state and Federal government to constitute a strong committee of investigation to fish out the perpetrators and bring them to book to prevent re occurrence this dastardly act anywhere.

You would recalled that the 21st memorial anniversary of late Baba Gonto turns violence as irate youths protest against the gathering, smashed some vehicle burnt down 10 houses and the place of the event.
