Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), for the Nov. 6, Governorship election in Anambra, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has described Anambra as a land of opportunities for investments.
Soludo said this while addressing some members of the Anambra State Elders/Stakeholders Forum for Good Leadership, including Heads of Media establishments, after a facility tour of the state.
The group was accompanied Gov. Willie Obiano to inspect the ongoing works at the Anambra International Cargo/Passengers Airport, Umueri, and the International Convention Centre, Awka the Anambra capital.
Soludo, who commended the lofty projects of Gov. Obiano, said the government executed the projects on an estate of opportunities that was giving hope to future generations.
“Gov Obiano brought life to the state by ensuring security of life and property. Before now, our people performed traditional marriages outside the state. But now, celebrations are done within the state.
“Anambra is an estate and very proud of its leadership since the creation of the state, especially the past APGA Government under Gov. Peter Obi that interpreted the blueprint of APGA and Gov. Obiano projected the blueprints to the global community.
“Gov. Obiano has given Anambra a platform to soar, irrespective of COVID-19 and the economic meltdown. Anambra is land of opportunities, out to attract the World and airport is a formidable platform to reach the World.’’
The Publicity Secretary Anambra Elders and Stakeholders Forum for Good Leadership, Sir Emeka Mbagha said Gov. Willie Obiano created a visible impact in the lives of Ndi Anambra. He gave Anambra commercial life.
“We are hopeful that Soludo will protect these legacies to global standards.
“Soludo as a focused and visionary leader, endowed with integrity and honesty.’’
In separate speeches, the former Chief Judge, Justice Peter Umeadi and his colleague, Justice Alpha Ikpeama said the airport was an opportunity for more investments.
They urged the Governor to deploy more security units to ensure free and fair elections.
