Ubah made the call at the kick off of the 2021 Afiaọlụ Nnewi festival at Enetedo, Nnewi on Thursday.

According to him, the norms, values and traditions of Ndigbo must be protected at all cost and every Igboman should always promote them anywhere he or she is.

Speaking on the need for government to protect the culture and traditions of the people, Ubah who was accompanied by his supporters said that every official of government hails from a community guided by a tradition.

“Therefore, it is a necessity for the government to protect the norms, values and traditions of the people,” he said.

He further reassured Nnewi community and Anambrarians at large that if elected as governor, YPP government will not only put in place measures that will strengthen the tradition of the people but will also respect the powers of the state’s traditional institutions.
