The last might not have been heard about the situation surrounding the ouster of Simon Ekpa, a major follower of Nnamdi Kanu from Radio Biafra.
Ekpa, the self-acclaimed disciple of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in a recent tweet is expressing his displeasure with “lies” told against him.
It would be recalled that Ekpa was first appointed to replace Nnamdi Kanu on Radio Biafra as the lead anchor person.
This announcement obviously didn’t go down well with some people at the hierarchy of IPOB as he was unceremoniously removed less than 2 weeks into the appointment.
However, while appearing on IPOB’s Radio Biafra on Sunday, Chika Edoziem, the Head of the Directorate of States (the highest decision making organ of IPOB) alleged that Mr. Ekpa was removed because he demanded that radio Biafra be handed over to him.
But according to Ekpa, he maintained that he never at any point, demanded that Radio Biafra should be handed over to him.
He also said that he’s not desperate to broadcast on the station and went a step further to release series of messages he sent to Edoziem whom he accused of lying against him.
“For those of you who need clarification, the lies told against me is that I demanded Radio Biafra should be handed over to me, this is a deliberate falsehood against my person.
“Different lies has been told in different quarters as to why I am not on Radio Biafra. I am still mute,” Ekpa wrote on Monday.
“The only reason I will not go into details is because of this struggle and my promise to Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu that I will never disappoint him and Biafrans.
“For the last time, leave me alone and allow me to do my work for Biafra and IPOB, you do not know the task Onyendu gave me and I am not interfering in your leadership and position.
“I am Simon Ekpa, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s Disciple on Biafra Restoration.”
