The National Coordinator, Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), CSP Ebere Amaraizu, on Thursday, said the ongoing school sensitization program tagged ‘POCACOV Passion Talk’ is geared towards helping young minds to discover themselves and establish their passion on the Carear of their choice for a strategic leadership direction.
Amaraizu, spoke while reacting on the essence of the POCACOV Passion Talk.
According to him, “POCACOV Passion Talk is all about ensuring that our young minds stick to what they want to do or become in life with passion.”
The former police spokesperson in Enugu Command, disclosed that findings have revealed that young minds are sometimes forced by parents, guardians and caregivers to venture into carears and trade which they do not have passion.
He said, “Young minds should be allowed to venture into course of study based on what he or she wants to become or do in future and where his or her passion lies so that it can be done well.
“All we need to do is to create platform of engagements that can encourage choice and passion in terms of what young minds want to become or do in future rather than choosing for them.
“We have developed a module of engagement in line with our forum base program outline at the Pocacov Resource Centre on POCACOV Passion Talk which is being implemented.
“Young minds do well in the area they have passion and should be encouraged.
“We are working with ministries, department, agencies and other relevant stakeholders including parents, teachers association to change the narratives and achieve success.”
