His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi state, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has observed 2020 Eid-el Kabir prayer at Bauchi Central mosque.
Others at the mosque with him are the State Deputy Governor, Senator Baba Tela, Chief of Staff, Government House Bauchi, Dr Ladan Salihu, Honorable Commissioners, Heads of Security Agencies and other top government officials.
The prayer led by the Chief Imam of Bauchi, Imam Ahmed Bala Baban Innah, also had in attendance, the Emir of Bauchi HRH Alhaji Rilwanu Suleimanu Adamu as well as traditional rulers in the emirate.
Governor Bala felicitated with muslim ummah in the state on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El Kabir celebration and urged them to use the occasion for self-assessment in the last one year so as to take corrective measures where necessary for them to be amongst the believers who will enjoy the mercies of Allah (SWT) in the hereafter.
Governor Bala stressed the need for muslims to also use the Eid-el Kabir occasion to strengthen the existing interpersonal relationship and create new ones and imbibe the spirit of forgiveness, humility and respect for one another.
On COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Bala said as responsible Government, his administration will continue to render palliative measures with a view to cushioning the effects of the hardships faced by the citizens due to the outbreak of the novel virus.
