Dear Hon. Oluremi Omowaiye,

Hon. Commissioner of Works, sir. I will like to join the few who had today, made a sincere “Good Morning” to you, sir.

I could have placed a call through to you, if I had the capacity to. But how do I explain who I am to you? How do I tell you that I’m just a poor journalist and an unfaltering conscience of the masses? Would you even have considered to pick up a call from a poor but “rich-in-the-heart” educator?

Yet, I’m 100% assured that you will get to read this, since the 21st century technological model had given us a better leverage.

Mincing no word and getting the nail, hit by the head, I’m much aware of the recent media appraisal of an approval for the rehabilitation of a Modakeke road. This credit, I give to the “Progressives”.

Nonetheless sir, no one can tell, if the Hon. Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovations, Hon. Ismaeel Kareem Akande, didn’t inform you that about three days ago, a family was thrown into a mournful state, as a result of bad road networks. The deceased was flown away by the little rainfall of Tuesday, as a consequence for the destroyed Olanrewaju Bridge.

As the “Ijesha Boy” that you are, you may be unaware that this isn’t the first death to be recorded at this instance. While we await the commencement of such rehabilitation, should we wait till more families become bereaved? Peradventure, you weren’t informed also sir, there is no road that could be referred to, as “good” in Modakeke, a town that accounts for such a large voting strength, and a “country home” to the Progressives, at election period.

I’m also aware that there’s a “Federal Road” in all of these roads, but I strongly believe there’s more that a State Government can do, at times lives are paid for the unconcerned attitude of the elects. The deplorable state, calls for an emergency.

I will not like to give you the rigour of reading through the letter of a poor man, since it’s quite different from an Asiwaju’s call, as I do not care to wait for a reply, save immediate action. Howbeit, I’m recklessly determined to continually write unto you, till immediate action is put in place.

As I conclude sir, permit me to apologize for whatever wrong that might happen, as I do lose my manners when issues of societal development are baned and poor lives are denied, as a consequence for the actions and inactions of the rich and those elected to serve.

In all of this, I have heard of your good works and I wish you a successful stay in office, and better ones, ahead.
