COVID-19: Nasarawa Recorded 7 Deaths, 177 Cases, Received 35 Trucks of Palliatives

Nasarawa State Governor,Engr.Abdullahih Sule has revealed the State recorded 7 deaths,177 cases of coronavirus pandemic,as he expressed concerned over alarming increase.

He made this during known the expanded COVID-19 meeting held at the seat of power,The  Governor expressed concern over the spread of the virus in Karu and Keffi Local Government Areas.

Engr.Sule averred Karu and Keffi so far recorded 76 and 30 confirmed cases respectively,attributing the increased of coronavirus as a result of their nearness to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

He disclosed that  30 persons tested positive have gone into self-isolation, pending transfer to treatment centres.

Governor Abdullahi Sule maintained that 87 out of the total confirmed cases have been tested negative and were discharged.

He informed stakeholders that the state is in receipt of 35 trucks of assorted food items donated by COCAVID,  a private sector initiative.

The Governor added that stakeholders at the meeting will decide on the timing for the distribution of the food items.
