*meets heads of tertiary institutions, assures sustainability

The new Anambra State Commissioner for Tertiary Education and Science and Technology, Sally Mbanefo, has formally assumed duty with a today, an inaugural meeting with the Heads of all the State-owned Tertiary Institutions at her Office at the state Secretariat, Awka.
The tactical familiarization meeting enabled them plan and strategize on how to sustain the giant strides already recorded by the administration of Gov Willie Obiano in the sector.
Mbanefo vowed to sustain the great gains already recorded in the sector.
They also brainstormed on how to improve the education sector and related human development structures and as well as improve the welfare of the Staff.
At the inaugural meeting were Barr. Pauline Nwando, the Permanent Secretary; Prof Greg Nwakoby, the the Vice Chancllor of the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University; Dr. Nneka C. Mefoh, the Rector, Anambra State Polytechnic and Dr. Ifeyinwa Osegbo, who is the Provost, Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe.
