Jigawa Bars Women, Children And Seniors From Idil Fitir Prayer

Children’s and women will not be allowed to attend idil fitir prayers this year says the Governor of Jigawa State. This he said while assuring that the idil fitir prayer will only last for thirty minutes.

Badaru explained that after sallah prayer there would be no durber celebration. He urged traditional rulers in the state to abide by rule and regulation to remain at their domain to avoid forming any gathering in their areas.

In the area of covid 19 the state recorded 210 cases of covid 19 cases equivalent to 24 percent of people affected with covid 19 nationwide. The governor said no fewer than 122 people are now isolated at isolation centres in Dutse receiving treatment.

Adding that the state has purchased additional beds that will accommodate the victims of covid 19 in the state. This is in addition to the 450 beds at the isolation centres.

He explained further that a mobile court was established to deal with lockdown offenders in the state. He assured that all offenders that were arrested by police will be taken to court to face the action. It will serve as deterrent to others.

Badaru stated that a laboratory for the diagnostic of covid 19 will soon be established in the state to eased the treatment of victims of covid 19 to avoid unnecessary delays.
