In the days ahead, touting in Imo parks will be a thing of the past.
The state commissioner for transport, Barr. Rex Anunobi, said that the ministry is engaging all relevant stakeholders in the transport sector towards eliminating touting to the barest minimum and traffic congestion in Owerri municipality.
The ministry says it is poised to partner relevant stakeholders to deliver effective and efficient management of motor parks across the state.
The commissioner said that the essence of plugging the leakages is to ensure that the ministry returns optimal revenue to the government.
Meanwhile, Imo transport ministry is set to improve its motor parks to accommodate convenience, among other facilities.
