A new Leadership of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Delta State Chapter that saw the emergence of APGA State Chairman, Afamefune Enemokwu emerges as the authentic Winner of the keenly contested Delta IPAC election alongside his Executives, who were Sworn-in simultaneously by the INEC electoral Committee yesterday in Asaba.
Hon. Chief Afam, the new Delta IPAC Chairman disclosed to our reporter while fielding questions from some group of Journalists on Friday, 29th November, 2019 soon after the election of the group at the Conference Hall of the independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Asaba, Delta State capital.
The long awaited Delta IPAC Election was streamlined after much consultations and harmonization to have two strong, dogged contestants, which the line of battle was drawn in Chairmanship race between the State Chairman of APGA, Hon Chief Afam Enemokwu and the State Chairman of BNPP, Comrade Sylvester Umudjane in the State IPAC Election of about 91 (Political Parties) Political Party Chairmen in the State.
APGA State Chairman won with a total margin of thirty-two (32) votes after scoring a total of 55 votes out of Seventy-Eight (78) total accredited votes in that election to dust his opponent, Political rival, while the State Chairman of BNPP, Comrade Sylvester, another contestant for the post of IPAC Chairmanship, Umudjane scored a total of twenty-three (23) votes in that election thereby making Chief Enemokwu the winner of Delta IPAC Election after contested exercise.
The Political Parties State Chairmen who were sworn in yesterday after emerging victorious in their elections for different Executives positions as it was keenly contested with other Political rivals, opponents from other political parties included : For the post of State Chairman, Delta IPAC, the State Chairman, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Hon. Chief Afam Enemokwu emerges winner, for the post of State Secretary-General of Delta IPAC, the State Chairman of FJP, Hon. Fred Akpewe emerges winner, for the post of State Deputy Chairman 1 IPAC , the State Chairman of RAP, Evwierhuhoma Felix emerges winner, for the post of State Deputy Chairman 2 IPAC, the State Chairman of FRESH Party, Prince Anthony Okareme emerges winner, for the post of State Deputy Secretary IPAC, the State Chairman of CAP, Comrade Lucky Dikadi emerges winner, for the post of State Legal Adviser IPAC, the State Chairman of NDCP, Chief Barr. Augustine Ogbute .C. emerges winner, for the post of State Treasurer IPAC, the State Chairman of APN, Comrade Green .A. Aziza emerges winner, for the post of State Publicity Secretary IPAC, the State Chairman of NPM, Mr. Felix Okei emerges winner.
Others are: For the Post of State Financial Secretary IPAC,
the State Chairman of ASD, Mr. Johnbull Okoro emerges winner, for the post of State Audit Control Officer IPAC, the State Chairman of PT, Fredrick Erukanure e emerges winner, for the post of Youth Policy Adviser IPAC, the State Chairman of NCMP, Ezimuobor Isaac emerges winner, for the post of Gender and Disability Adviser IPAC, the State Chairman of NDLP Party, Princess Onochie Ucheamaka emerges winner, for the post of Organizing and Welfare Secretary IPAC, the State Chairman of AA party, Emeka .U. Bidokwu emerges winner.
The immediate past Chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Delta State Chapter, Chief Fred Obi who had earlier before the election dissolved his former led IPAC Executives in the State, also while making his closing remarks after the emergence of a new Leadership that saw Hon. Chief Afam Enemokwu as the new IPAC Chairman, he then Commended the National President of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Chief Ameh, who was a Guests Speaker in the recent Delta IPAC Workshop in Collaboration with the Office of the Senior Political Adviser to the Governor towards sustainable political peace and development.
He also commended the IPAC National Headquarters team who were among the INEC electoral Committee for the election on the job well done to had promoted free and fair elections in the State, while Commending the emergence of a new Leadership in the State that saw the APGA State Chairman, Hon Chief Afam Enemokwu as the new Chairman and the Support given to him by all the political party Chairmen in the State.
The new Delta IPAC Chairman, Hon. Chief Afamefune Enemokwu while in his acceptance speech after the inauguration while responding to the call by the INEC IPAC electoral committee to the new sworn in Executives to see other contestants who did not emerge Victorious in that election as one indivisible family promised to run all-inclusive Leadership void of rancor and disunity, that he will initiate fresh ideas, innovations, developmental procedures, sustainable peace and development capable of taking the group to greater political heights in the State.
Speaking further, he extended an olive branch to his fellow contestants in the Chairmanship race, the State Chairman of BNPP, Comrade Sylvester Umudjane and others by embracing them as one political family, adding that IPAC under his watch as well as other of his Executives in the State and the other ten (10) IPAC in coming Committees will not betray the confidence repose on them by the entire members of IPAC, and therefore commended INEC for the exercise, the immediate past Leadership of IPAC led by Hon. Chief Fred Obi for the IPAC Workshop in Partnership with Office of the Senior Political Adviser to the Governor towards a better synergy between competing political parties in the State and the ruling party.
