Justice A.T. Badamasi of a Kano High Court on Tuesday vacated a suit barring Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from exercising powers over the five Emirs in Kano.
The Judge who granted the order last week as prayed by a group of Kano kingmakers, vacated it on Tuesday, paving way for Ganduje to legally act on Kano State Emirates Council Law 2019.
247ureports.com recalls that the embattled kingmakers in suit No K/197/2019 asked the Court to extend the order pending the determination of the substantive suit, a prayer that was declined by the Judge.
However, the vacation of the suit has cleared the coast for Ganduje to constitute Kano Council of Chiefs and met out punishment to any erring Emir as the dictated by the law.
