Igbo Community In Kano Condemns Kidnapping/Trafficking of 9 Children

The Igbo community in Kano State has risen to condemn the kidnapping of nine children by person of south east extraction.

The condemnation was published in a letter signed by the President General of Igbo Community Association in Kano, Chief Ebenezer Chima and the Sarki Igbo, Igwe Boniface Ibekwe and dated October 15, 2019. The letter condemned the act of “some unscrupulous persons from the south east” in trafficking nine persons from Kano origin headed to Anambra State.

The letter commended the police force in Kano for their proactive actions and other security agencies for their synergy that led to the recovery of the victims. The leaders recommended for a stiff punishment be administered to the culprits.

The leaders commended the Governor of Kano, Malam Ganduje and the good people of Kano State for “their understanding on this issue“.
