What seem like a melodrama in the early hours of today 21 August 2091, occurred at the resident of Senator Rochas Okorocha the Immediate past Governor of Imo state where a correspondent attached to #Punch Newspaper by name Chidiebube Okeoma was ruff handed by security operatives at the entrance gate of Rochas foundation college estate Spibat, Owerri.
An eyewitness report shows that the Journalist was invited by the former Chief Press Secretary Sam. Onwuemedo for a briefing at the venue which unfortunately turned out to be tragedy for the reporter.
It was also gathered that a misunderstanding ensued between him and the security officers before they bounce on him with tear gas and whip which resulted to the Journalist loosing consciousness instantly before he was revived by a good Samaritan.
The victim has since been rushed to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention.
It could be recalled that Chidiebube Okeoma was recently appointed as the Chief press Secretary to the Speaker Imo state House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Collins Chiji.
