Rano Emirate Council suspends District Head of Garin Malam

The Rano Emirate Council has suspended the District Head of Garin Malam, Garin Malam Local Government area of Kano state over non-compliance with the emirates order.

This was contained in a letter addressed to the District Head and dated 29th July 2019. The letter which was written in Hausa Language by the secretary Rano emirate; translates to “I am instructed to write and inform you that you are suspended from your position as District Head of Garin Malam and your title (Sarkin Fulani) has been withdrawn.

This is because the emirate is not satisfied with the reasons you stated for not complying with the emirate’s order in a letter you sent to the emirate dated 17th June 2019” the letter reads.

When contacted by Daylight Reporters, the Secretary, Rano Emirate Council confirmed the action, saying that the suspension was because the emirate was not satisfied with the response the District Head gave for a letter issued to him for not complying with the emirate order.

However, all efforts to reach the District Head proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.
