Group lauds UNN’s first gasification plant

Coalition of SouthEast Youth Leaders(COSEYL) has lauded the University of Nigeria Nsukka(UNN) for producing the first gasification plant that habituates organic waste to generate electricity.

President- General of the Coalition, Good luck Ibem said that the group is also happy with the institution for unveiling the first electricity car in the country, adding that the invention is laudable.

The group is therefore soliciting financial assistance from the federal government to enable the institution embark on more research.

COSEYL said that power has constituted a major set back in the industrialisationย  of the country and as such believes that this alternative source of power supply would help boost electricity generation in the country if the project receive the required financial assistance from the federal government.

The group wonders why an institution of such high repute is not offering chemical engineering, explaining that the situation is robbing the nation the immense services the department could have rendered.

It therefore called on the appropriate quarters to urgently address the situation.
