Amobi Ezeaku, the Team Manager, Rangers International FC of Enugu, says the club will assemble a formidable team for the forthcoming season.
Ezeaku, who made the call while speaking to newsmen on Friday in Enugu, said he was optimistic that the club would compete favourably in the league.
“’We have been recruiting players and I feel happy to witness their training session on Thursday.
“Coach Benedict Ugwu is doing a wonderful job in assembling the best legs for the club.
“’You may recall that a couple of weeks ago, Davidson Owumi-lead management had been working diligently on bringing in top players into the team.
“Players that will help the club to actualise its dream at the continental and here in Nigeria, I will say that so far, it has been a smooth and wonderful journey in the preparation for next season,” he said.
On players registration, the team manager said: “We are working so hard in registering players for the Continental and other competitions.
“’We hope for the best and when time comes, we are going to unveil them.’’
Ezeaku also said that players not called back had their contract expired, describing Rangers as a club that works in accordance with the rules of the world football governing body, FIFA.
“Also, the League Management Company (LMC) framework and rules are there as well,” he said.
According to him, the Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is upholding the international football practices.
“I feel it has been the right thing to respect the rules of the game and the selection of players for the new season is already in top gear.
“All these are to get the best legs from good talented and skillful footballers that are eager to serve the club in a bigger capacity,” Ezeaku said.
