Police Arrests Four Suspects In Benue, Recovers Eight Stolen TV Sets

The Benue State Police Command has arrested four suspected criminals for allegedly stealing electronics and other valuable items.

A statement signed by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer  PPRO, DSP Sewuese Anene and made available to newsmen said their arrest followed a tip off that some hoodlums broke into a residential house in Makurdi.

The statement said following the tip off, men of Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) trailed and arrested one Kenneth Okpoju.

Okpoju further led the squad to arrest three other of his accomplice and recovered eight different Plasma Television sets and one old model television.

The statement enjoined the people whose televisions have been stolen to visit the Police Headquarters in Makurdo for identification and recovery of their properties, even as it maintained the case is still under investigation.

“On the 18/06/2019 at about 1030hrs information was received that some hoodlums broke into a victims house and stole some valuables. SARS operatives swung into action and arrested one Kenneth Ogbole Okpoju of Adoka Otukpo L.G.A of Benue State.

“Further investigation led to the arrest of the following suspects Isah Ibrahim Abdulrahaman Yunusa and Alhassan Ali all of Kano street, Wadata and eight different types of plasma television and one old model television were recovered from them,” the statement said.
