Kano State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has assured the Assistant Comptroller General Nigeria Immigration Service kano State command that his administration would continue to provide what is needed to make the services of the Nigeria Immigration better.
Dr. Ganduje said Kano State Government was commited to join hands with all service providers in the State to ensure effective delivery of their services for the interest of its teeming populace.
The Governor was speaking through his Deputy Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna at the official commissioning of Baban Dede Waiting area which was erected by some immigration officers at the Pass Port Office, Farm Centre.
” Just recently, Kano State Government provided an office to the Nigeria Immigration Kano State Command at Dawakin Kudu for the creation of additional Pass Port office to ease its daily operation ” Ganduje revealed.
He reassured the Kano State Assistant Comptroller General in charge of Kano that his administration is wailing to give its contributions on whatever kind of facilities needed by the command to enable it render its services effectively.
Ganduje noted that the erection of the waiting Hall at the Pass Port Office was a well come development, sressing that the move would provide more conducive waiting environment for all E-Pass Port applicants who have the cause to visit the office.
” while commanding the effort of the Assistant Comptroller General in charge of Kano Command and the Pass Port Control officer of the Centre in providing these facilities in the interest of the people of Kano and Nigeria in general, I wish to encourage other service providers to emulate same.
” for us in this administration, it is a strong conviction that Public Office holders must strive to deliver on their responsibilities for the growth and development of the people and places at any level of service ” he disclosed.
On the incident involving Zainab Habib Aliyu in Saudi Arabia, Governor Ganduje extended the appreciation of the Kano State Government and the good people of the State to the Federal Government for its gigantic role played in saving the life of the innocent.
” I wish to extend the appreciation of Kano State Government and its people to the Federal Government under the leadership of Muhammadu Buhari for what they have done recently on the release of Zainab Habib Ali who has been mistakenly arrested at Saudi Arabia and commend the collective effort of all the agencies that uncovered the evils planned against the young lady to save her life ” he said.
Earlier, the Assistant Comptroller General Nigeria Immigration Service incharge of Kano State Command I.O Yusuf explained that the Project is an initiative of the Officers of the Command who voluntarily contributed money to build the Hall as identification of the policiies and programmes of Ganduje’s administration which prioritizes on the wellfare of people.
He said ” Your Excellency, this project was erected for the benefit of all categories of applicants who came for Pass Port in this office. it is meant to provide conducive atmostphare and very comfortable waiting area to the applicants while their applications are attended to.
” in this regard, we must express our sincire appreciation to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for all the support you have been given to the Command on somany aspects of our operations “.
I.O Yusuf revealed that the office handles over 200 applications mostly from Kano State indegines and other people out side the State which are also handle within 24 hours of processing.
He assured the Governor that the command would continue to take appropriate measures to protect the integrity of the National Pass Port and other travelling documents that are been used by Nigerians.
