The leadership of UDP Youth Forum humbly appreciates the good people of Taraba State for their warmed reception and nice treatments given to our governorship candidate, Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan throughout her campaigns in the state.

In a statement signed by the group’s Director of Communication, Abubakar Isah, the forum noted that unlike other contestants who were stoned, attacked and booed by the electorates during electioneering campaigns, Mama Taraba was nicely received by the people because of her credible track records and people-oriented programmes and policies.

The group therefore urged Tarabans to come out enmasse to once again demonstrate their undying love for Mama Taraba on March 9th by casting their votes for Alhassan under UDP platform.

The group also thanked female voters in the state for their massive turnout in the last Presidential and National Assembly elections, urging them to redouble their efforts in the coming Governorship and House of  Assembly elections in the state.

The statement further noted that Taraba State is hours away from making history as the first state to elect a female governor in Nigeria, saying, such a status will launch the state on the map of the world with special United Nations attention.

The group however frowned at the situation where results sheet for Saturday’s polls were found in wrong hands as reported in the media.

Therefore, we call on the electorates as well as stakeholders involved in the electoral management of Taraba State to look at the bigger picture and allow the victory of Mama Taraba to come true.

Signed:

Abubakar Isah,

Director of Communication,

UDP Youth Forum
