We are constrained to react to media report that Ohanaeze Ndigbo  Lagos State Chapter led by one Mr Nnamdi Nwigwe paid a courtesy visit to the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willy Obiano.

It smells to high heavens that people can degenerate so disgracefully just to get some crumbs from the Governor’s table.

For the avoidance of doubt, the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State Chapter is Chief Solomon Ogbonna who said that there has been no official communication between the Anambra State Governor and the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos State Chapter nor has any courtesy visit been scheduled.

Plausibly,  there is no parallel executive committee in Lagos State and any other person parading himself as the President of Ohanaeze in Lagos State is an impostor, a thoughtless wiseacre masquerading to swindle the  Governor of Anambra State fund and, as well, a gimmick tailored to insinuate and  create the impression that Ohanaeze Ndigbo is factionalised.

The Ohanaeze Lagos State Chapter had met,  eulogised and adopted the National Executive Committee’s and Imoebi’s decision to endorse the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his running mate Chief Peter Obi, who are well disposed to restructuring the Country.

We are not oblivious that with few days to the presidential and National Assembly elections some political miscreants will dust their defrauding arsenal and bleedingly exploit their pitiably preys.

All branches and Affiliates Bodies are advised to take note and be on alert to discountenance all such ill meditated and wishy-washy groups orchestrated to hoodwink, create divisions among the people and derail their political resolution.
