Our attention has been drawn to the sponsored fake news report making round in the media claiming that 5000 members of our great party defected to the rejected All Progressives Congress in Taraba State.
There is no doubt that the fake news report is the handiwork of the embattled governorship candidate of the APC in his desperate move to rebrand his battered image before the good people of the state.
We are aware that the embattled APC Governorship Candidate, Mr. Dalandi Sani is among the defendants facing two count charge of conspiracy and violation of financial regulations preferred against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission before a Federal High Court in Jalingo.
Therefore, any fake and deceptive publicity stunt that will improve his bad image is welcomed to him no matter how bad shaby it may look.
But the question is, why is he targeting the governorship candidate of our party when there is a sitting governor in the state?
The simple truth is that Mama Taraba is the candidate to beat in the governorship election and that is why she is the object of attack by the failed APC in the state.
We therefore wish to state categorically that no registered member of UDP in Taraba State defected to any party apart from the scavenging students, farmers and market women who were paid money to stage the drama of defection in the name of our great party.
Therefore, we advise our teeming supporters to remain calm and united in our collective resolve to enthrone a responsive and people oriented government that will change their fortunes and make the state great again.
