Tambuwal Laments Carnage In Plateau State; Condoles With Government And People Of The State
Promises to return the good times and safety to all Nigerians
Frontline presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as well as the governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has expressed sadness and deep concern over yet another spate of needless spilling of innocent blood in Plateau State, as a result of yet another round of communal clashes in some parts of the state.
Alhaji Tambuwal, who expressed these sentiments over the weekend while commiserating with the government and people of Plateau State, especially those who lost their relatives in the recent round of killings, grieved that “it is regrettable that Plateau State which used to be a haven of peace and stability, as well as the preferred tourism destination in the country is suddenly being turned into a theatre of incestuous blood-letting.
Saying that the situation is unacceptable to him as well as to other patriotic Nigerians, the Sokoto State governor said that: “no nation or people can make any meaningful progress by wasting scarce human capital”, maintaining that “we as Nigerians must all work together to restore peace and amity in all parts of the country, in order to restore our collective sense of community and our respect for the sanctity of human life, for which Nigeria had been reputed.
The PDP presidential hopeful therefore called on all Nigerians to join him in praying that peace and harmony return promptly to the affected areas both in Plateau and everywhere else in the country, so that Plateau State can regain its acknowledged pride of place as the tourism haven of Nigeria, while Nigerians become able once again to interact and feel at home in peace and security at every other corner of the country.
Aminu Tambuwal who has been traversing the length and breadth of the country to meet and rub minds with the would-be delegates to the forthcoming PDP primaries, prayed the Almighty God to grant the government and people of Plateau State the fortitude to bear the irreparable losses, while assuring them and other Nigerians that if he wins the presidential election in next year, he will, as a matter of priority, enthrone policies that will reset the country and return it to a position where all Nigerians would live again in equality and freedom in any part of the country of their choice and freely run their lives and ply their trade without let or hindrance.
