Gawuna Sworn In New Deputy Gov Of Kano State

The Acting Chief Judge of Kano State, Justice Nuraddeen Sagir Umar on Wednesday, sworn in Nasir Yusuf Gawuna, as the new deputy Governor of the state following the resignation of the former deputy over a month ago.
The swearing in event which took place at the Coronation Hall, kano state government house saw the turn out of mammoth growth who came out to grace the occasion.
Speaking at the occasion, the Governor of Kano state Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said it took him and his cabinet time to nominate a new deputy governor considering the magnitude and responsibilities that comes with the office.
“ It took us time to nominate a new deputy because the office and its responsibilities are serious ones.
We needed someone who is dedicated to government affairs, someone whom we can trust and call upon at anytime.
After going through his credentials, we found no one who can do the job better but our own Gawuna”
Ganduje notes that the office of the deputy requires patience, loyalty as well as experience in government affairs, the qualities, he say the new deputy posses.
Until his appointment as the new deputy governor of the state, Yusuf Gawuna was the state commissioner of Agriculture, the position the governor has directed he continues to occupy.
