Rabiu Omaku, Nasarawa
The Nasarawa State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party following the declaration of the two time governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to vie for Southern zone senatorial seat has described the governor as unfit for the seat.
The Chairman disclosed this when reacting to comments of the governor, he said Al-Makura lacks the quality required to represent the Southern zone.
“Without any apology, everybody whether Alago, Eggon, Tiv, Farmers, civil servants are feeling the bad side of the government. The governor sold everything that belong to Nasarawa State and I’m assuring you that if PDP reclaims her mandate come 2019 we will reverse the sales“.
He said the declaration of Al-Makura for Senate is a wakeup call to PDP, “We will ensure that we beat Al-Makura hands down”.
Al-Makura had stated that the declaration followed series of calls by critical stakeholders including the former governor, Abdullahi Adamu, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Local Government Chairmen and other political groups.
