Man Stabs Brother To Death In Anambra

A man, identified as Ekene has allegedly been stabbed to death by his younger his brother, Ejinkonye in Ifitedunu, in Dunukofia local council of Anambra state.
The deceased, was reportedly stabbed severally on different parts of his body before he finally gave up.
Although the remote cause of the incident was still unclear as at the time of filing this report, but 247ureports.com learnt that the deceased had reportedly been lording it over his younger brothers, especially since the demise of their father last year.
Our correspondent gathered that the memorial service of their late father was slated for Sunday, a day before Ekene was killed.
“Trouble started following the burial of patriarch who was a popular politician. The matter came to the head on Saturday when Ekene was said to have drawn the first blood by stabbing his younger brother, Ejinkonye who grabbed the knife and cut Ekene severally on the neck, hand, navel and head,” a family member who preferred anonymity narrated.
He said the deceased died while being rushed to the hospital.
247ureports.com further learnt that the police embarked on mass arrest of members of the family on receiving the report.
Efforts to get the reaction of the police on the incident proved abortive as the police spokesperson, ASP Nkeiru Nwode did not pick calls put to her phone.
