Benue Killings: Police Recovers Eight Dead Bodies From Bush

The Benue State Police Command says it has recovered eight dead bodies from the bush around Tse-Adudu and Enger villages in Gwer West LGA. This is in addition to the two (2) that were found earlier in the day.
A press statement from the Nigeria Police Force, Benue State Command states “the Benue State Police Command regret to report that at about 1800hrs Thurday, 5th April 2018, eight (8) dead bodies were found in the bush around Tse-Adudu and Enger villages in Gwer West LGA. This is in addition to the two (2) that were removed from the same area at about 0830hrs of same day.
“They were believed to be victims of Armed Bandits, suspected to be Cross- Border Insurgents/Cattle Rustlers.
The statement says Mobile Police Force Unit deployed in Naka general area, had in the course of their patrols, encountered the same Insurgents.
It alao said security operatives in the affected areas and other communities in the State have been stepped up with reinforcement of the Police Special Forces on Counter Insurgency to curb the criminal activities of the Armed Marauders.
The statement signed by the state Police PPRO ASP Moses Yamu enjoined members of the public to promptly report any suspicious movement in their areas to Security Agencies.
