Ortom Swears In Helen Angwe As New Permanent Secretary

Governor Samuel Ortom today swore in a new Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Helen Member Angwe.
Performing the ceremony at the Benue Peoples House (Government House) Makurdi, Governor Ortom said since the inception of his administration, excellence and merit had always been the guiding principle in making critical appointments such as this.
While congratulating the Permanent Secretary on her new appointment, Governor Ortom described her as a seasoned administrator whose wealth of experience would add value to the development of civil service and Benue State in general.
He stated that the desire of everyone in the civil service, which he noted was the engine room of government, was to attain the positon of Permanent Secretary, adding that he wished her well in her new positon.
Mrs. Angwe expressed gratitude to the Governor for finding her worthy to serve in such a capacity and prayed God to grant her the wisdom to contribute her quota to the Ortom-led administration in the state.
She also acknowledged the women friendly disposition of the Governor through appointive and elective positions and promised not to betray the confidence reposed in her.
The new Permanent Secretary is to be assigned a portfolio by the State Head of Service, Engineer George Edeh.
