Ekweremadu Mourns Deputy Leader, House Of Reps
The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has expressed deep grief over the death of the Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Umar Buba Jibrin.
Ekweremadu described the deceased lawmaker as a patriot and consummate legislator.
He said: “I received with a deep sense of grief the passing on of Rt. Hon. Jibrin. This is indeed a grave loss, not only to the National Assembly and the good people of Kogi State, but indeed a monumental loss to the entire nation.
“He was a patriotic and consummate lawmaker, who gave his best to his fatherland. As an experienced lawmaker and bridge builder, he made his marks on the sands of time and history will be kind to him”.
The Senator prayed God to grant the soul of the departed a peaceful repose and to his family, the people of Kogi State, and the nation the fortitude to bear the huge loss.
