Kano Gets New DG Media

Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has approved the elevation of Aminu Kabir Yassar as Director General, Media and Communications before the announcement, Yasar served as the Press Secretary to the Governor while the former DG Salihu Tanko Yakasai has been elevated as Special Adviser on Social Media.
Before their elevation, Salihu Tanko and Aminu Yassar were the erstwhile DG Media and Communications and Press Secretary to the Governor respectively.
On the same vein, Governor Ganduje has also approved the appointment of Malam Abba Anwar as Chief Press Secretary to the Governor. Before his appointment, Abba is a correspondent with Guardian newspaper in Kano.
The appointments are aimed at rejuvenating the Governor’s media team to be more proactive, robust and efficient.
All the appointments take immediate effect.
