Sen. Makarfi Condenms Killings In Benue, Rivers, Taraba State

The former governor of Kaduna State and the immediate past chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP], Senator Makarfi has expressed his condolences to the Governors and people of Benue, Rivers and Taraba State over the unnecessary and avoidable loss of lives and properties in the respective States.

Senate Makarfi urged “the Federal Government to fully work hand in hand with the respective States to apprehend and prosecute the actions as well as restore full normalcy and security. All well meaning Nigerians should help in fully securing every nook and corner of our country“.

The former PDP chairman made the remarks following his return to Nigeria following a short vacation outside the country.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria security are reported to have begun aggressive monitoring of the affected areas. The President of the federal republic of Nigeria, General Buhari had already reacted to order the Inspector General of Police to relocate to Benue State to curtail further attacks and to apprehend the actors responsible for the crimes.
