Imo Workers Get November Salary

A payroll Officer in one of the local governments in Imo on Friday said in Owerri that they have received only the November salary for the workers, adding that as result she is not on holiday as declared by the state government but busy paying the workers.
She said, however, that the payment of only November salary is in contrast with the announcement by the government that they have been paid their November and December salaries.
Some workers had told our correspondent on Wednesday and Thursday that they had not been paid the two months salaries as announced by the state government.
The state government had declared two weeks holidays for the civil servants, beginning from Friday, 22 December to 8 January 2018.
