His Excellency, the governor of the State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has rescinded the earlier directive that Keke Operators would cease to operate in certain designated areas in the State Capital, Owerri, as from Tuesday, September 5, 2017, and has given them upto the end of September to comply.

In other words, the Keke Operators in the State Capital would continue to function till Saturday, September 30, 2017.

The governor said all he is doing is to make the State better than he met it in the overall interest of the people and those yet unborn, and not for any personal gain.

He commended the Keke Operators in the State for all their supports and understanding and assured that he would continue to make them partners in progress.

The government has begun to share Passat Wagon Cars to the Keke Operators in the State in replacement of Keke for Operation in the State Capital.
