Accuse Him Of Supporting Fraudsters

Traditional Ruler of Obi Orodo autonomous community in Mbaitoli LGA and Chairman, Imo State Council of Ndieze, HRH Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri may have fallen into trouble following serious warning served on him by Obibi Uratta autonomous community in Owerri North council over his alleged interference in their Ezeship stool.

The people of Obibi Uratta disclosed this in a protest letter captioned, “Eze Sam Ohiri: Stop Meddling in Obibi Uratta Ezeship Stool” signed by the Traditional Prime Minister, Chief Marcus Onwuanibe (Aboshi) and made available to newsmen in Owerri, the capital of imo State, they described the actions of Eze Ohiri during the presentation of their Eze-elect, Prof Amobi Uwaleke to His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha at the Imo Trade and Investment Center as obvious bias and action unbecoming of a Traditional Ruler, maintaining that instead of thinking ways to improve the welfare of his people of Obi Orodo, he decided to attempt to thwart the unanimous decision of Obibi people.

Adding further, they accused Eze Ohiri of sponsoring crisis in their community and as well has assumed the position of Governor in determining who to be recognized as Traditional Ruler of a community, warning him to steer clear from the Ezeship stool of their community or expect total show down, while reiterating their unalloyed support to the rescue mission administration of Governor Rochas Okorocha.

Furthering, they revealed that “while the Obibi people and other persons of various autonomous communities present at the Imo Trade and investment Center rose to hail the Governor with thunderous ovation in appreciation for the clearance of their Ezeship process, an unexpected disruption from Eze Ohiri to divert the attention of Governor Okorocha necessitated the minor set-back from issuing staff of office to their Eze-elect”, and warned him to desist from meddling into their internal affairs.

According to them, Obibi Uratta Eze-elect, Prof Uwaleke has satisfied every necessary requirements by going through the Ezeship Selection Committee Panel set up by the Supreme Council of the community, adding that as law abiding citizens, there was need to pray the government to issue their chosen monarch with staff of office to continue with his good works in the community, and therefore accused Eze Ohiri of supporting fraudsters who earlier defrauded Imo State Government of her funds for palm tree to cause mayhem in Obibi community.

The angry Obibi people therefore wondered if Eze Ohiri is working against the rescue mission government using Obibi Uratta as a case study when Governor Okorocha, his Principal had earlier congratulated Prof Uwaleke for emerging the Eze-elect of his community, and called on the government and security agencies in Imo State to rescue them from the antics of Eze Ohiri and his cohorts before the peace and tranquility being witnessed in Obibi land is threatened.
