A member of the Bpard of Trustee (BoT) of the All Progressive Grand Alliance Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and Minister of Labour and Productivit, Dr Chris Ngige to the cleaners telling them that their hope to see the All Progressive Congress (APC) upstage Governor Willie Obiano in 2017 governorship election amount to wishful thinking and dreaming that can never be a reality.
Ezeonwuka, who is the told the governor and the minister that there was nothing wrong with the flyovers built by Obaino in Awka capital territory and asked them to focus on attracting democracy dividend to Ndigbo .He equally challenged the two APC chieftains to use their offices to provide empowerment opportunities for Ndigbo and stop stop playing to the gallery to please their Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba pay masters.
Okorocha and Ngige in a separate interviews with the media said that APC will take over the Anambra top job next year and the only savior for Obiano is for him to cross over to APC. Ngige also condemned the flyovers built by Obiano saying the APC government would demolish it on assumption of office.
Ngige said “That flyover he built in Awka is an obstruction on the federal highway and we will demolish it when we come because it was not built with good specifications. Modern flyovers have pillars going by engineering construction. What they have done was to cause obstruction at Aroma junction, Kwata junction and Amawbia by-pass. So, we know what to do, apart from the flyover, there’s no other projects he can point at, except singing and dancing at functions and displaying awards”.
But Ezeonwuka accused Ngige of deceit and playing ploitics misinformation because anybody who is familiar and conversant with what is going on in Anambra state will tell you that Willie is practically working noting “it is quite unfortunate that Ngige who we respected so much for his penchant in road construction when he was governor is ignorant of what is going on in his state.
He said “Ngige doesn’t know the current situation because they have not updated him on current projects going in the state, they did not tell him about the N20Million projects going on in each of the 177communities in the state, they did not tell him about the stimulus provided by Obaino to cushion the effect of recession on poor people in the state
“They did not tell him that unlike most of the APC state governors including Okorocha that owe workers backlog of arrears of salary Anambra workers receive their salaries every month, they also did not tell him about the massive development and progress in the agricultural sector from which the state now earn foreign exchange “
He continued “They did not tell him that Anambra Gross Domestic Products GDP have increased in recent time and what about the tight security in the state, i mean Ngige should dare to update himself with what is going on in the state and avoid making empty noise “
He querried the factors that will earn APC vitctory in Anambra State. ” Is it because of superlative performance of the Party at Federal level and State level. This is the party that have inflicted pain, poverty and anger on the people. Okorocha cannot pay workers.The party that anandoned the first construction ofSecond Niger Bridge”Ezeonwuka queried.
