Polygamous War; Father Pays Assassins To Kill Son

The people of Awo Oraifite, Ekwusigo local government area of Anambra state were thrown into serious shock recently when three young men suspected to be hired assassins stormed the compound of the village’s peace committee chairman, Mr. Jonathan Okeke and attempted to abduct one of his sons,  Oluchukwu Okeke on the alleged agreement with Mr.Okeke,  his father.
Luck, according to our dependable source,  ran against both Mr. Jonathan Okeke and the people he allegedly hired to assassinate the 24-year-Oluchukwu who raised alarm and their neighbourhood equally re echoed his alarm, this, it was gathered attracted the local vigilance group in the area and the three young men with evil intention were apprehended.
On their arrest, it was gathered that they confessed to the crime even as they opened up by alleging  that one policeman known as Eze serving with the Anti- Cultism Squad of the Nigeria Police Anambra state police command facilitated their coming to perpetuate the criminal act.
It was further gathered that one of the children of the sevond wife to the embattled Jonathan Okeke who based in Lagos made phone call across to one of her suspected bed mates at Nnewi, pleading with him to intervene in the polygamous war in her father’s compound.
On receiving the call, the suspected bed mate of the accused divorcee contracted the police officer accused to be notorious in hiring both equipment and manpower to whosoever that needs dirty job in that regard across the state even as the police officer attached with Anit-Cultsim Squad allegedly did the unholy justice to the call by sending the three young men said to be helping Ozubulu Central Police Station for their investigation.
Narrating his ordeal in the hands of the bad sons from good parents, the victim who spoke from his hospital bed, siad; “It was on one faithful Sunday at about 10pm as I was already on bed that I heard a knock on my door and before I could asked who was knocking, they had banged on the door and forced it open.
“In trying to find out their mission, I was held by three of them, they ties my two hands to my back,tired my two legs and as well,  they used belt and tired my manhood,  drawing it with the aim of killing me inside the room. It was then that I raised alarm,   the three young men brought me out in the presence of my father who even led them to my room. When I asked my father with tears if the problem had high racketeered to the level of bring hired assassins,  he slapped me and ordered the people he hired to take me out and deal with me”, Oluvhukwu alleged.
On what broke the caramel back, the boy who is trying to survive the attack said he is aware that there have been squabbles between his biological mother and his stepmother,  noting that efforts made in the past by both their family members and friends of their family were allegedly thwarted by his stepmother. He however said his father use to see him as the arrowhead of the present day crisis in the family.
When contacted,  Mr. Jonathan Okeke who doubles as the chairman of his kindred and Awo Oraifite peace committee chairman, denied the allegations, stating that he made calls across to some of his children over what he have been passing through in the hands of Oluchukwu.
“Having received my call, one of my daughters based in Lagos contacted someone she knew at Nnewi and the man equally contacted a policeman serving in SARS. My mission was to take Oluchukwu to SARS for him to sign undertaking that he will be of good behaviour. It wasn’t my intention to kill him, it is the SARS man who instead of coming to arrest my son as agreed,  sent the three young men who came with another mission different from what I intended to do”.Mr. Okeke stated under regret.
Reporters constant visits to Central Police Station Ozubulu (CPS) aimed at confirming the ugly development from Divisional Police Officer(DPO), made no impact as he was said to have travelled out of office but reliable source close to his office confirmed that they have, arrested, detained and released the suspects on bail on the ground that it is a family issue even as the source declined to make further clarification on the matter.
When also contacted through his GSM line, aimed at reaching the police officer fingered to have hired out the suspected hired assassins to murder the young man, the O/c in charge of the Anti-Cultsim Squad,  Nigeria Police,  Anambra State Command, DSP Ali Okechukwu said he was hearing the matter for the first time through the caller even as he promised to fish out the officer and compel him to face the full weight of the law if he is found culpable.
