In spite of the deplorable state of infrastructure, non payment of civil servants salary and high level of poverty in Imo State, it has been uncovered that governor ROCHAS OKOROCHA of Imo State has concluded arrangement to acquire the premises housing champion newspapers. The property which is over 5,000 square meters in total area is situated at 156/158, Oshodi/Apapa Expressway, Ilasamaja, Lagos and confirmed report has it that the seating APC Governor is offering the sum of N3 Billion naira for its acquisition.
Loading ...The property which is owned by a PDP BOT member and publisher/Chairman of Champion newspapers, Chief Emmanuel Iwuayanwu was put up for sale because of the dwindling fortunes of the publishing house. Information gathered has it that the newspaper company will be relocated to a smaller apartment once the deal is consummated.
Investigations also revealed that the Governor and his government house syndicates have concluded negotiations.
