Business activities came to a halt within the St. Jude Catholic Church Plaza along Porthacourt road near the controversial Upper Iweka, Onitsha South Local Government Area of Anambra state following the death of young man at his earlier thirties who is suspected to be a member of the Anambra state local vigilante group.

It was gathered that the late young man who was only identified as Emeka was said to had preferred using a front of one of the stores in the plaza as his abode even to the alleged full knowledge of the chief security of the plaza.
Investigation revealed that the late man until his death had been addicted with drugs and even at death, molded rap of chemical suspected to be hard drug was placed at the point he was laying lifeless and his full identity was not known as at the time of filing of this report.
But traders in the Church plaza later returned back to business at about 1pm when the police from Fegge Police Station, led by the Divisional Police Officer(DPO), SP Rabiu Garuba stormed the plaza and evacuated the remains of the late man.
Speaking on the development when contacted, the Chairman of the Plaza, Mr. Patrick Edogwo who said they are in contract with a local registrated security outfit, in charge of the plaza are shouldered with the security of the property in the said plaza, stating that they lacked comment on the matter, hence the man in question died at night hours.
When contacted for comment, the Divisional Police Officer of Fegge Police station, SP Rabiu Garuba said his office had received distressed calls over the death of the young man, stating that him and his men had visited the venue of the incident and took the corpse to the mortuary while investigation will be carried by the appropriate section of the police in the state.
