It was gathered that the serial murder is unconnected to the killing of some Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) by the Nigerian Army in their agitation for a Biafran State.

In his reaction, the South-south chairman of Muslims, Barr. Mohammed Nduka Elunoi, said, “I think that we have to be careful the way we handle these unfortunate incidence that have been happening. In the recent past, I think we have experience a lot of killings and these killings is teethed towards the Hausa people and now they are been apprehensive and they are scared walking on the streets”.
