Operatives of Enugu Command of Nigeria Police Force Wednesday arrested a Bricklayer for stealing Fireman brand of electricity generator in building site where he works.
The police public relations officer, SP Ebere Amaraizu has confirmed arrest says the suspect identified as one Charles Okpata residing at No 7 Nza Street New Haven Enugu has regretted his action blaming Satan for deceiving him.
According the PPRO “the suspect who is a bricklayer in a building site where he was working had on Wednesday 13th July, 2016 at about 1am gone to the building site at New Haven Enugu and after gaining entrance, allegedly stole a big capacity fireman Generator and quietly rolled it off and was moving it to a place where he wanted to conceal it until he concludes with his buyer before the eagle eyed patrol policemen from Enugu division intercepted him and recovering the stolen generator based on intelligence information at about 2am at IBB fly over along Enugu Abakiliki road Enugu”.
SP Amaraizu said the suspect will soon be charged to court after investigations have been concluded.
Meanwhile the state commissioner of police Emmanuel Ojukwu has applauded the efforts of his men while expressing gratitude to members of the public for their partnership with police which led to the timely information to the patrol men and maintained that the tempo of robust patrol at all time in the state and its environs are to be sustained to ensure a safe and secured environment.
